🌸 Mid-life, wellness, & figuring it out as I go. Sharing habits, what feels good, what’s working (or not), and all the WTF moments along the way.

❄️ Happy April, friends. I know, it’s tech ❄️ Happy April, friends.

I know, it’s technically spring, but as per usual here in North Dakota, it looks more like a snow globe than a ray of sunshine and breath of fresh air.

Honestly, I was hoping this year would be different, that we’d move right into the spring months like other places, but instead, we’re bundled up again, watching thick flakes fall like it’s mid-January.

But me, the eternal optimist, even if the weather isn’t cooperating, I’m still choosing to let today be a fresh start. A reset. A deep breath. A new chapter. I just have to otherwise I might lose my mind. LOL

April always feels like a weird month.

It’s that in-between place, not quite winter, not fully spring, and it feels like Mother Nature is hitting the stash. Maybe one of these days she will level out!

So yes, it’s snowing. And yes, it’s a little (or a lot) disappointing.

But I’m still calling in renewal. I’m still ready to lighten things up - my mood, my mindset, my routines. I’m still choosing to grow. To move. To feel good, less lazy - more energetic. Even if it’s from the inside out at first.

Today, I’m writing down my intentions, clearing out some mental clutter drinking hot honey water like I’m at a retreat instead of trapped indoors.

Spring is still coming. And I plan to meet it feeling ready. I am so ready to shake off winter, let go of the heavy, and let life feel lighter.

✨ I can bloom, even if the world outside isn’t yet.

✨ I can choose joy, even on cold days.

✨ I can begin again, no matter the weather or the day of the week or year.

In my journal today (and maybe in yours too): “What would it look like to reset today, even before everything around me changes?”

Here’s to April. Snow and all. (ugh, I can’t believe I’m typing that.) But I have got a REALLY good feeling about this month. I’m ready!

Maybe the idea of choosing a “word of the year” is a little cheesy. I’ve thought so too. But as I’ve leaned into mindset and personal growth, I’ve learned that part of choosing a word to represent your new year ahead is the wonderfulness that is reflection and vision. 🌟

2024’s ride was a bit all over the place 🎢 and as the end of the year approached, I was feeling stuck, in thick murky quicksandy mud. I didn’t want to be pulled under but was feeling it. And sometimes we just have to draw the line in the sand and make the decision. Pen in the journal getting all my feelings out, a little help from chatgpt to pull it all together, I now feel like the letting go has gotten easier and the moving forward is much more exciting.

I am the nurturer, at home, with family and friends, in my business, in my online community. That’s important to me and it’s really what has become the heartwork of my every day. I haven’t set out to be a health guru or have all the answers, but I believe in the benefits of intention healthy living and the ripple effect it has when we feel good about ourselves. The vehicle has changed but I’m still driving down that road!

My word of the year is ANCHOR and it feels so meaningful in this season of life. Being an anchor is about stability, staying grounded no matter how busy or unpredictable life gets. It is about showing up for myself, my family, and my community with a steady presence that keeps us centered.

It is also about being intentional. I want to focus on what truly matters, letting go of distractions, and choosing actions that align with my values. Living with purpose helps me stay rooted while still reaching for growth. Rekindling some things I’ve let go of. An anchor is a connection, a reminder of the relationships and communities that give us strength. I am so grateful for the opportunity to nurture mine. And it’s about presence. Life moves fast, and I want to be fully here for the moments that matter. James once said that he never wanted to miss the moments with the kids. I have that sticky noted to my computer. ♥️

I am excited for what is ahead and I am so grateful to have you along for the journey. 🥰
When you have had enough of the self sabotage, you When you have had enough of the self sabotage, you do things different. 🙋🏼‍♀️

I let most of my healthy habits slide. Over the past few months, all of the things I’ve helped others with for many years just fell away. I’ve been emotionally eating, not working out consistently, navigating stress, sleeping poorly, having too much dairy which leads to whole body inflammation, and navigating eating out and holidays. I know what works for me, yet I’ve struggled with willpower and let the over consumption take over.

And when you do that long enough, it’s hard to believe that you can dig yourself back out of that place and get your healthy habits back on track.

It just feels hard.

And that’s exactly why it’s time for a reset. Fueling with protein, not depleting calories. For energy and health, not just for losing weight. For ease because I don’t have to meal plan or cook elaborate meals.

✨FOR THE BELIEF THAT I CAN EAT HEALTHIER AGAIN.✨

I’ve been the one who’s driven a rigid plan. But that’s hard and doesn’t work for me for very long. I have always struggled with moderation. But that’s my big lesson I’m leaning into this year.

Maybe you’ve been struggling too. Maybe the new year gives you some excited energy to get the ball rolling. Maybe this is the change you’ve needed too.♥️

Here’s to letting go and moving forward. 🩷 I Here’s to letting go and moving forward. 🩷

I’ve taken a lot of time to myself the past couple of weeks, reflecting, daydreaming, planning, navigating. Looking back on the past year, it resembles a rollercoaster - not the highest of highs or lowest of lows, but plenty of bumps and turns, and a nice pivot too.

I met amazing new people, traveled, spent time with loved ones, learned more about myself, and am starting to embrace being in my 50’s and all of the changes that come with that.

I have been let down and struggled and silently wallowed in my grief. I pulled back and retreated. I’ve watched from a distance while figuring out what’s best for me.

And here we are today, about to bridge the gap of what was to what can be. As the calendar turns it’s page, so am I .

I’m desktop full of calendars, planners, books, sticky notes, and my brain is now bursting with ideas and dreams and excitement - gosh that feels good! I’ve missed that! But at the same time, I acknowledge the space I needed to find peace and clarity.

I’ll share more soon.

But I wanted to share some things that have helped me and I’m doing to get ready for the new year and all that lies ahead. I know that my brain works best with visual habits and routines, so here’s where I’m at.

Hello Winter Solstice - the longest night of the year - where we are reminded of the quiet power of the seasons. Even in the darkest times, the light begins its return, and this is my favorite.

This is a time to pause, reflect, and find stillness. It’s an opportunity to honor the lessons of the past year, release what no longer serves you, and gently welcome hope and renewal as the days grow longer. For some of us, the lessons were big and the reflection is deep. And that’s ok.

Here are some ways to embrace the solstice:

Maybe start with a good, warm, snuggle pile. That’s always helpful. ♥️

Journal your thoughts with introspective prompts like:
✨What am I grateful for?

✨What am I ready to release?

✨What light do I want to invite into my life?

Take a quiet walk in nature or spend a few moments in stillness, appreciating the rhythm of the season. This won’t be me, it’s too cold, and I’m wimpy, but I did take some time to gaze out the window and be with my thoughts.

As we turn toward the light, may this solstice bring you peace, clarity, and hope.

✨What’s one thing you’re ready to let go of as we move forward? I’d love to hear your thoughts.

For years, I’ve shared about how much nutrition For years, I’ve shared about how much nutrition has changed my health. From cleaning up a sugar addiction, realizing gluten and dairy sensitivities, and learning how to eat clean but still enjoy treats. I lost weight, built muscle, gained energy, and felt like ME again.

But in this crazy busy season of parenting and navigating hormone changes, stress, and the holidays, convenience and crap has taken over and I am feeling it. Tired, bloated, low energy, it’s hitting me hard.

I’m ready for a RESET!

Raise your hand if you already know you need a RESET in your personal health & wellness department too!

I’m pretty sure that your holiday schedules are as crazy as mine are. And over the last 7+ years, I’ve worked with many women who struggle with this time of year too - healthy habits and routines take a back seat for a while. For me too!

This focus is on resetting your wellness routine, lean protein, flushing out toxins, supporting your gut, giving you energy, and helping you get back on track, it’s your shortcut to feeling better, looking better, and performing at your best. Have you ever felt like you wanted to hit “refre Have you ever felt like you wanted to hit “refresh” on how you approach your life? That’s exactly how I felt when I made the decision to change directions. I wanted a business that not only aligned with my love for fitness and nutrition but also expanded into all areas of wellness and helping women and families live healthier lives in every way possible, even if working out wasn’t for them.

When I switched companies, I knew I wanted to do things differently this time. No pressure. No one-size-fits-all approach. No strict rules.

I love network marketing because being at home and fully present for my family is so important to us. This business gives me the time flexibility I need, community, support, and the chance to mentor other women - something I truly love. And my introvert vibes can flourish!

I took my time to learn about and try new products that not only help me but also make a difference for mid-life women, their families, and their health. I was looking for something that excited me and felt meaningful - not just selling a product, but truly helping women live healthier and feel better, especially those of us in our mid-life era.

And honestly - whether you’re juggling life as a stay-at-home mom or balancing the demands of a career, having a little extra cushion in the bank can make a big difference, especially these days.

With the holiday season in full swing, there’s no better time to help moms get started - whether it’s discovering clean, non-toxic products to create a healthier home or exploring a business opportunity that fits their values and lifestyle.

From skin care to cleaning products to fitness performance supplements to anti-aging regimens that reduce toxic load on our bodies (and practically sell themselves), I’ve got something special to share.

If you’ve been curious about starting something new or just want to explore healthier options, I’d love to help you get started!

It’s been just 3 weeks, and my skin feels amazin It’s been just 3 weeks, and my skin feels amazing! In all of my 50 years, I have never had a good skin care routine, but you can teach an old dog new tricks! I’ve tried a lot of products over the years and nothing ever stuck because I’d end up with breakouts and itchy rashes. I hesitantly gave this new to me line a try and I have all the good praise to give!

Coupled with new internal supplements, my face is less puffy and inflamed, dark circles and undereye bags are fading, pores are shrinking, and no breakouts, no rash, no constant neck itching.

And the truth is, I’ve now tried so many of the products over the past month, and I have loved every single one of them, expect for one. There’s always gotta be that one, right? Here’s a few that I’ve swapped from my old brand: gut health pre/probiotic, collagen, nightime supplement, and protein shake. Some others I love, besides the skin care and “break up with botox” wands!! : immune boost, daily vitamins and supplements, teas, mood boost and all of my house cleaning products! I expected them to be good, I wouldn’t have partnered with a company that I didn’t trust, but I am a bit blown away at how much I love them!

I feel like what I was using previously was good, I was healthy, but it wasn’t until changing products until I realized there is still more healthy work to be done, less toxins in and on our bodies and in our homes. It’s good to try something new!

I’m really excited to keep sharing more! If you’re curious, and would like to know more about the products I’m using, we’re hosting a black friday event today - special sales and offers, gift with purchase, prizes, and more!

Comment BLITZ and I’ll get you the private invite! 🎉🎉

Stepping into something new is never easy, especia Stepping into something new is never easy, especially during a hard season. And let me tell you, this has felt much harder than I expected. When I decided to shift my focus and embrace a new business, starting over felt hard, being a beginner felt overwhelming, fear of failure kicked in, and I questioned if this was the right move, over and over.

“Growth begins at the edge of your comfort zone.”

But what I’ve learned is that growth isn’t about knowing all the answers, it’s about being willing to take the first step, even when it feels scary. It’s about trusting your instincts, moving at your own pace, and building something authentic to YOU.

For me, this change made so much sense. For years, I’ve talked about total body wellness, taking good care of yourself from the inside out, but yes, there was a heavy focus on fitness. But wellness isn’t about fitting into a box or sticking to one way of doing things. It’s about exploring all the ways we can live healthier lives—through non-toxic swaps - being mindful about the chemicals in our every day products, movement that feels good today - and every day can be different, nourishing food that gives us energy, not zaps it, and personal growth to keep becoming the best versions of ourselves. We all have different paths, and that’s what makes this journey so powerful. Because it can be done so many ways.

I’m so excited about this new path I’m on and the journey it’s going to take us on together. Navigating the hard took a little time, and that’s ok, but I finally feel like I’m coming out of it, stronger, healthier, and with more insight.

I’m building a community for like-minded women who want to create positive changes in their lives - big or small. A place where we can encourage each other, share what’s working, and grow together.

If that sounds like the kind of space you’re looking for, I’d love for you to join us in my free community: Love the Life You Live Wellness Collective! I left the link in my profile or let me know and I’ll link it directly to you.

Let’s grow together, one step at a time.

It’s true, 50 years of no good skin care routine It’s true, 50 years of no good skin care routine. That’s not to say I haven’t tried all of the products - inexpensive, expensive, healthy, trendy, all of it. I’ve tried so much of it. None of them kept me from breaking out in acne or itchy rash or the scent inducing a migraine.

Last month, when I joined a new company who prides it’s skin care so much, I was hesitant to want to try, for fear of wasting my money and sacrificing my skin, again. Leap of faith prevailed and now 2 weeks in, I wish I had known sooner! No breakouts, no itching, no red blotches.

I ditched the bar soap, have been washing my face before bed, moisturizing, and using the most incredible wrinkle wands. My skin feels clean and refreshed, even brighter, less dull, and firmer. It feels so good to finally be able to put my big girl pants on and take good care of my skin without worry!

Why did nobody tell me sooner?! :)

I’m excited to share more of this in a special holiday shopping event tonight! Comment “GLOW” and I’ll send you the details to check it out!
